As you noticed, grisha wasnt able to kill royal families but eren encouraged him to do so and after killing the royal families, grisha was finally was shown THE RUMBLING and all the horrible things he was about to do outside humanity. After seeing this memory, he was convinced he couldnt stop eren and asked Zeke to stop him via paths.

This is how, grisha was brainwashed by his son Eren

Now I'm even more convinced that the moment Eren got in contact with a royal blooded he can actually interfere with the past.

Imo either neither are wrong or both are wrong. This is humanity, they are trying to kill each other, and now that it has come to this the strongest wins, period. In some ways SnK is very realistic, in the real world one man's hero is another man's villain. So Eren might be a Hero to the Jeagarists and people who want Titans to rule but at the same time he will be Villain to everybody else. Just like Winston Churchill is celebrated as a hero in the West, when his decisions made thousands of people in West Bengal die of starvation. So Eren's just a leader at the end of the day, he will be hero to some and villain to some.

Eren only partly let him saw it, Grisha wants Eldia to be restored but not in the violent way Eren is going to supposedly do it. Eren didn't show the part where his mom gets killed because then Grisha wouldn't have been given it (he thinks by giving Eren the titan he is going to save his mom but he can't), but I don't know why Grisha would ask Zeke to stop him though. Maybe he doesn't want to be the direct reason why his wife dies.
